The Divine Paradox :: The Existence Of Apparent Opposites In The Same Space And Time

Yin Yang

Time and space as we currently understand them are a production of the human mind. In actual reality everything exists in a single moment of consciousness.

Or to put it another way; all existence is infinite in all directions all at once, we merely move from one experience to another throughout our physical existence. The predominant minset of humans on this planet is one that perceives either good or bad, right or wrong, health or illness, life or death, hot or cold, wet or dry, etc. We are obsessed with categories and labeling of everything we observe. The reality is that there are no polar opposites in actuality, yet there are because it is us who create them.

Linear Measurement

What is hot? What is Cold? It is all a matter of opinion and that opinion is based upon a predetermined value we decided to use as a benchmark. We must have a value with which we compare the current status, we then decide if the current status is better or worse than before. The Truth is that both hot and cold are two ends of the same thing. There is no hot and there is no cold, and yet there is. This linear measurement we have come up with is an illusion, but yet it is not.

Think about it.

Who came up with the benchmark to which we compare all elements of our existence? Who decides what the benchmark is? we do! or someone else does and we simply follow their lead. We are totally fixed on the physical world. Most of us have no perception of The Truth. We see either one end of the scale we created or the other, we see only half truths. When all thought is removed, when all methods of measurement and categorisation are taken away all that is left is the truth, which is; the forces we experience simply are. They simply exist with no time or spacial constraints.

We recognize this even in our ordinary view, for we speak of the world as “a fleeting show” that comes and goes, is born and dies-for the element of impermanence and change, finiteness and unsubstantiality, must ever be connected with the idea of a created Universe when it is contrasted with the idea of THE ALL, no matter what may be our beliefs concerning the nature of both.- The Kybalion

The Divine Paradox

Sticking with temperature analogy; there is no limit to temperature, it continues on it’s “linear course”, as defined by us, in both directions to infinity transforming into light and then other forms of energy en route. But bear in mind this is still just our minds conceptualising something far deeper than we are capable of understanding. We must attempt to realise that everything we perceive is real as far as we are concerned at this moment, however, we must also realise that everything we perceive is merely a cross section of true reality, a drop in an infinite ocean and that everything we perceive exists and yet it does not- This is The Divine Paradox

The half-wise, recognising the comparative unreality of the Universe, imagine that they may defy its Laws — such are vain and presumptuous fools, and they are broken against the rocks and torn asunder by the elements by reason of their folly. The truly wise, knowing the nature of the Universe, use Law against laws; the higher against the lower; and by the Art of Alchemy transmute that which is undesirable into that which is worthy, and thus triumph. Mastery consists not in abnormal dreams, visions and fantastic imaginings or living, but in using the higher forces against the lower — escaping the pains of the lower planes by vibrating on the higher. Transmutation, not presumptuous denial, is the weapon of the Master. The Kybalion.
